Wood, proprietor of the" Cape Vincent N.Y., Eagle, died on Friday following four days illness from in- fluenza. He was aged sixty-three years and had conducted the Eagle for forty-one years, making it one of the best weekles in Jefferson coun- ty. It was the only Demoeratic pa« per in the section. He died at the home of his sister in Syracuse, N.Y., whither he had been taken. } Mr, Wood was a bachelor.
