KINGSTON MOTOR SUBMITTED CLUB HAS Contains Most Advanced Ideas om Traffic Regulation--Club Will Have a Vigilance Comn.ittee. That the Kingston Motor Club will he a: very aggressive organiza- tion in the city during the sum- mer months is anticipated by those who have been taking part in "iis activities during the past few weeks. Considerable organization work has already been acconiplished, and ev- ery effort is being made to build up a strong association" for the protee- tion of motoring interests in the city. Besides securing several hun: dred road signs, which are to be placed on roads throughout the district by members of the club, a draft 'traffic regulation by-law has been framed and it is probable that dt will be considered at the next meeting of the board of works. The by-law contains the most ad- vanced ideas on traffic regulation which 'could be secured by an ex- amination of the rules in force in Canada and the United States, and will prove of interest when its con- tents are published. Some of the more important . provisions deal with the parking of cars, the ques- tion of permitting turning on Prin- cess street and kindred points. The members of the club are en- thusiastic for its success, and it is their aim that traffic regulation in Kingston shall be as conducive to the maintenance of pedestrian rights as those of the motorists, It is believed that the traffic by-law now in force has outgrown its. use- fulness with the tremendous in- crease in motor traffic, and that it is time that the council should have before them for their serious sideration. No attempt is made to force through a scheme which would disregard the rights of others, and various points will be explained if necessary in order that their advantage to the city may be recognized. The club is determined that the great majority of the city's motor- ists shall obey the' law, and for that reason it is desirable that the law sliould be up to date. As most of the motorists, including many of the leading citizens, are members of the club, it' is felt that the organi- zation will do much good. Efforts will be made to obey the spirit as well as the letter of the law, and it is probable -that a vigilance com mittee will endeavor to prevent any actions which would tend to bring the great body of motorists into disrepute. Those who are found speeding will be informed of their misdemeanor, and others who dis- regard the rules will be asked to re- con- being J Ocean Steamship Ticket Agency. C.S. The Kingston Motor Club is a co-operative, mutual .aid -associa- tion, and as such it will endeavor to act for the best interests' not only of the mémbers of the motor- ing fraternity, which is rapidly swelling in numbers, 'but for the in: terests of the general public as well. ---------- MAKING GOOD PROGRESS. Kingston's Symphony Orchestra Is Rounding Into Shape. The. Kingston symphony orchestra is makin nderful progress under the able directiom--of Oscar F. Telg- mann. Weekly practice is held--in] the Y.M.C.A., parlors and the com- position of the orchestra shows that there is a great deal of musical talent in Kingston. Thirty-five people at- tend the rehearsals and it is expected that the complete orchestra will. in- clude sixty instruments. The success of the undertaking is due to the initiative of several well- known eitizens, W, G. Craig, O. V. Bartels; <J. W. Fraser, Profs. Eaton and Gummer, of Queen's, and Mr. Brooks, of the R.C.H.A.. A large number of young ladies are receiv- ing Instruction on the violin and the enthusiasm shown by all who are tak- ing part is likely to give permanence to the organization, which is a pure. ly voluntary one. Then come those terrible sick headaches. They take out every bit of life and ambition, bring on depres- sion, and often end in complete men- tal and physical prostration. To keep the liver active, and your bowels moving regularly is the only way to get rid of the constipation and the distressing sick headaches. Milburn's Laxa-Liver Pills will do this for you by stimulating the slug- gish liver into manufacturing suffi- cient bile to act - properly on the bowels, thus making them active and regular. Mrs. Winslow McKay, Jordan Branch, N.8., writes:--*1 have been sick for a number of years with sick headache and comstipation I tried all kinds of doctors' medicines but none did me any good. 1 tried Milburn's Laxa-Liver Pills, and after using four vials I am completely cured. 1 would heartily recommend them to all sufferers." Milburn's Laxa-Liver Pills are small and easy to take; and do not gripe , weaken or sicken as so many pills do. Price 26c a'vial at all deal- ers, or mailed direct on receipt of price by The T.
