Br Ser ~ STANDARD HOTEL LICENSES TWO OF THE KINGSTON HOTELS DEPRIVED OF THEM. Revere and Imperial Cut Off by the Ontario License Board--Those Receiving Licenses in' the County. As intimated in the Whig some time ago, two of the Kingston standard hotels have been deprivel of their license. They are the Re- vere and the Imperial hotels. Wil- liam MeCammon, Heense inspector, received his final draft for the city and county on Monday morning. The hotels cut off disposed of their gtoek on Saturday. The proprietors have the right, if they so desire, to keep open for board and lodging The following is a list of the licens- es granted in the eity: J. M. Caines; Albion; M. J. Harry Slater, late of the 21st Battalion C.EF., passed away at the Mowat hosptal on Sunday, after an illness extending over three years. He enlisted in the 21st and served with dt in France. He was gassed and was invalided to Canada in June, 1916. After apparent recov- ery, he was discharged but was again admitted to the hospital in June, 1917. Deceased was born in England where a sister resides. He was single, but had friends at Graf- ton, Ont., where he resided before enlistment, and the body was sent there for interment by M. P, Keys, undertaker, 17787--90c. Annie Savage, widow of the late James Savage, and formerly Mrs, Arthurs, phssed away on Sunday at her residence, 288 Barrie street. She had been ill during the past seven months, and she is the sixth mem- ber of her family to die within a period of five years.
