Harold Peters, aged 11 years, son of Adam Peters, No. 2, Place de Armes, lost his life by drowning in Anglin's Slip, about 220 o'clock on Friday afternoon. The circumstances surrounding the lad's death are extremely sad. He was seated on a lumber pile near the slip, and was fishing with a line amd pole. When the line got caught he jumped into the water to release it, and he got tangled up with the line and went down. It was Mated that he was a good swimmer. A brother of the lad, and seme other boys, gave the alarm, but it was all of twenty minutes or more before the body was recovered. Dr, Harold Angrove was summon- ed and with Capt.
