F, Nickle, M.P., spoke briefly on the object of the gathering, congratul- ating the retuined men of the dis- trict, who were to receive a token of appreciation from their friends and neighbors on the part they had played in France and Flanders, and voicing the pleasure of the people of Kingston at their safe return. Then the event of the evening took place, when ithe chairman presented each man with a gold ring with his initials and "The Great War" engrayed on it.
