VERY FEW REGISTERING As They Do Not Realize the Necessity For It, The first day and a half shows that not more than from fifteen to twenty-five persons qualified to vote at the Dominion bye-election have taken advantage of the opportunity to register at the various offices opened for the purpose. The reason for this seems to be that the people who have voted at elections in the past still think that they will have a vote at the bye-election. This is a very great mistake, for, according to the Bye-election Act passed by the government, no person will be per- mitted to vote who has not been reg- istered. DT The registration offices were open- ed for each ward and sub-division on Monday and they will remain open until Saturday evening.
