Dr. Dyson Hague of Wycliffe College, Toronto, was the special preacher at both morning and even- ing services in St. James' church on Sunday, Rev. Dr. Hague is one of the foremost evangelical preachers in the Anglican church in Canada and he is prominently identified with the Forward Movement that has been in- augurated by the church. His ser- mon inthe evening was a most force- ful and eloquent appeal for recruits for the ministry. There was a very large congregation; consisting chiefly of men, and his address on hehalf of the ministry which offers unlimited scope for the highest and best that is in any man, was heard with the clo- seat attention. « Dr. Hague said that God's volce was to be heard now amidst the di- versities of modern life, with greater insistence than ever because of work Dr, Hague | that faved the churches and he ex- horted his hearers, particularly the young men, to consider the ministry, in choosing their life work, as afford- ing opportunities for the highest ser- vige of which any man is capable. Mrs. Millard, the president, occupied the chair and an admirable address was given by Rev. J. A. Wad- dell on co-operation between teach- | ors and parents. He thought that more interest should be taken in the homes in the teachers' work. It was decided to provide a Mbrary for the school. Refreshments were served at ithe close of the meeting.
