Anson Carr's Death. Anson Carr, a ndtive and lifelong resident of Brockville, died Weadnes- day, a victim of pneumonia. He was forty-eight years of age, and a barber by occupation. His wife, son, mother, three sisters and one bro- ther, survive. The latter is John Carr, C.P.R. engineer, Carleton Place. To Revive Rifle Shooting. Time was when Tweed had a flour- ishing rifle club, with a membership of-about fifty, but the war broke out, the rifles were called in and the club disbanded. Mr, and Mrs. White, Roy and Dorothy, Mr. Whaley, who is manager of the Mer- chants' bank, is one of the number who went overseas with the 146th Battalion in 1915, being wounded twice in the campaign at Vimy Ridge and again at Arras. He was invalided home in Jan! 1919 and soon was so far recovered as to take under his control with increasing success, the business of the Tamworth branch of the Merchant's Bank of Camada. The bride also, who had taken a course of training as nurse, enlisted for ov- erseas service and joined the Orping- ton Hospital Corps in 1915 returning home in April, 1919.
