A wisp of a creat- ure left to the charity of a none too charitable* world, she is finally lgft in the care of Harry Bryant, a young playwright. Miss Murray is' utterly charming in her role, which isa sympathetic one, calling for. light comedy and heavy dramatic touches, and her gowns are deserving of special mention. Don't overlook seing "The A B_C of Love," and at the same time Harold Lloyd in "Captain Kidd's Kids," which will also be shown for the last time to- night. --Advt. At the Strand. Maurice Tourneur's ' latest "Paras m t-Arteraft production, ("The White Heather," will be the malin feature at the Strand Theatre, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The story is adapted from the melodrama written by Cecil Raleigh and Henry Hamilton, 'which had a long run at the Drury Lane Theatre in London. Indirectly the title comes from the little flower of the Scotch High- lander, the white heather, which is said to bring good luck to its wear- er. Scotland, however, is the back- ground' for. but a part of the story. The action centres around the. re- covery of a marriage record from the hulk of a sunken yacht, "The White Heather" . The big scene of the melodrama takes place at the bottom of the sea, where the hers and villain fight to the death on the ocean floor. For these remarkable gcenes Mr. Tourneur employed the newest invention of the Williamson Brothers, 'whose subsea photograph devices made possible the under wa- ter scenes of "The Submarine Eye" and "Twenty Thousand Leagues Un- der the Sea." The various roles are in the hands of capable players.--|. Advt. \ : By-law For Fire Motorization.
