(Canadian Press Despatch) © Peterboro, March 17.--An appeal to members of the provincial G. W. V. A. to prevent the spread of Bol- shevism was one feature of the ad- dress of President Jeakins when the annual convention opened this morn- ing, after an official welcome had been extended by Mayor Mcintyre and the city council. The question of re-establishment of soldiers was still a big question, said Mr. Jeakins, and a special committee was imme- | diately appointed to deal with it. The president critcised the federal provincial and municipal authorities for their 'appalling apathy towards the housing problem. e deplored the tendency of returning soldiers to harm to the soldiers' cause.
