THREE-OLUB LEAGUE Cornwall, Shamrocks in Triple Schedule . A meeting of the National Lacrosse Union was held at Cornwall to con- sider what action would be taken in connection with the withdrawal from the league of the Ottawa La- crosse Club. Secretary.-Browne read a letter from Ernie Butterworth, of Ottawa, stat- ing that this club had decided to resign from the N. L. U. This course he said was necessary owing to some of the Ottawa players re- ceiving their amateur cards last- fall and winter, and their refusal to play professional lacrosse. After some discussion on the mat- ter it was decided on motion of the Cornwall and Shamrock delegates that the three remaining clubs com- prise the league for 1920, and play a triple schedule. [It was agreed that the players and spares filed for the opening match of the season by each club shall remain the property of that particular cluB for the sea- son and extra players may be added to the roster of each at any time.
