John Franklin Singleton, formerly of Singleton's Corners, has been pro- moted from senior inspector of dairy products, Department of Agriculture, Ottawa, to chief of the markets divi- sion of the same department. New Science Master. George W. Bunton, Belleville, has been appointed science master on the staff of the Ottawa Technical school. Mr. Bunton is a specialist in his sub- ject. He will take over his new duties on the opening of the technical school in September. Printing Bureau Position. R. E. Cook, formerly of Ganano- que,. has been appointed chief of the planning dlvision, a newly-created department of the Dominion Print- ing Bureau at Ottawa. Cossitt failed to function after the car had stalled on a hill leading to the temporary bridge over Grant's Creek, Front Road west, the automobile descend- ed the hill backwards, carried the guard rail away and the rear portion fell into the creek. Many local musicians were shock- ed to hear of the recent death of Frank Robinson, in Belleville.
