A. J. Garrett, president, stated that the gate re- ceipts exceeded all previous years. The' forenoon was cloudy, but the day turned out fine and the attznd- ance was large. Everything was done by the direc- tors to encourage competition and to make the exhibits a succass, and their work was reflected in the high qual- ity of the exhibits in the various de- ! partments and classes of entries. In | addition to the purely agriculturai attractions there were horse races in the afternoon and a baseball match between Verona and Sydenham. Re- freshment booths were set up at con- venient places, and Salsbury's band from Kingston played in a manner 'that was highly appreciated. The best thing to use is just plain mulsified cocoanut oil, for this is pure and entirely greaseless. It's very cheap and beats anything else all to pieces. You can get this at any drug store, and a few ounces will last the whole family for months. Simply moisten the hair with water and rub it in, about a teaspoonful is all that is required. It: makes an abundance of rich, creamy lather, cleanses thoroughly, and rinses out easily. The hair dries quickly apd evenly, and is soft, fresh looking, bright, fluffy, wavy and easy to handle. Besides, it looséns and takes out every particle of dust, dirt and dandruff. "Fin" Makes the Har Come Out Offers Simple Home Recipe to Stop Loss of Hair and Make It Grow Again. People who had the "flu" this past year and who now find their hair coming out badly, will be interested in the suggestion of a well known Hair Specialist who says: '"'Anyone can easily and inexpensively make at home a 'recipe whith, in my opinion, is unequalled for stopping loss of hair and making new hair grow out again thick, glossy and luxuriant. You can get from any druggist 6 oz. of Bay Rum, 2 oz. of Lavona (de Composee) and one-half drachm of Menthol Mix together an? allow to stand over night before us- ing. Rub thoroughly into the scalp with the finger tips or a stiff brush. This prescription is perfectly harm- less, acts quickly and neither dries out the 'hair nor makes it greasy.
