Here is on® oyster dish that may take the place of meat at the family dinner, Oyster Pie. 1 quart of oysters 2 cupfuls of flour 1 cupful of top milk 3% cupful of shorteniug 3 tablespoonfuls of cornstarch 14 teaspoonful of salt 2 teaspoonfuls of baking powder Sift together the flour, baking pow= der and salt, and cut in the shorten ing. - Add the cold milk gradually. Place the dough on a fioured board, cut in two and roll out. Put in two shallow, greased baking pans and bake in a hot oven for 156 minutes. Slowly dissolve the cornstarch in a little mitk, gradually add the rest of the milk, and cook with the oysters and seasonings. Finally add the oysters and cook until the edges curl.
