This point in the expansion of the Mutual Life has been reached more quickly than any of its mast ardent friends would have kelieved possi- ble five years ago, But the reason is not far to seek. During the t war and the fatal sickness which followed in its train the Mutual Life paid out in relief of the families bereaved no less than two million three hundred thousand dollars in addi- tion to ordinary claims. The benefits of life insurance were thus so clegrly démon- strated that an immense Ra re- sulted and the business of the Mutial has developed as much during the last five years as during the preceding forty-five years. The people suddenly realized the absolute necessity for life insurance and naturally turned to a company well- known, well-established and financially impregnable. Enterprise East, Dec. 1.--A very pretty wedding was solemnized on \Wednesday morning at 9.30 o'clock, at the Church of the Annunciation when Miss Mary Bernadette, only daughter ob Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Sagriff, became the bride of Edward Finn. The bride entered the church to the strains of the Bridal Chorus, played by Miss Elizabeth Byrne, and was given away by her father. The bride wore a sand tricotine suit and hat to match. Miss Anna G. Finn, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and wore a suit of taupe jersey cloth. Michael Sagriff, brother of the bride, was the best man. The groom's gift to the bride was a silver tea set, to the bridesmaid a cameo ring, and the groomsman, a tie pin." After the wedding, about forty of the imme- diate friands of the bride drove to her home where a sumptuous repast was awaiting them. The many gifts re- ceived testify the high esteem in which the young couple are held and their many friends join in wishing them every happiness in their future home, near Enterprise, where the groom is a prosperous farmer.
