Four horses were burned in a stable at Arnprior, owned by James Wallace. A horse kicked over a lan- tern which exploded. Mr. Wallace managed to r ue one horse, but the other four perished. A considerable quantity of hay and straw was lost, and, altogether, Mr. Wallace figures his loss to be about $3,000, without any insurance.
