This picture, which wis bought by the English representative of the Allen interests, is sald to be -+based upon actual historic facts, and it abounds with love, romance and intrigue. The story has to do with the car- eer of a young woman who starts life as a housemaid, and who eventu- ally attains one of the highest posi- tions in English society during the French Revolution, only to end her days in dire poverty and distress. The role of the girl, Emma, who later be- comes Lady Hamilton, is beautifully interpreted by the celebrated Eng- lish screen star, and British beauty, i Great Canadian Kidney Remedy, |angle star, Arma Rubens, will appear Malvina Longfellow. Alma Rubens as Marion Gregory finds many moments when household duties do not require her attention. Naturally she seeks the companion- ship, of her former girlhood days, Ju- dith Wingate, who sacrificed love on the altar of wealth. Preoccupied with the necessity of coneentration on his work, her hus- babhd Hugh is unmindful of her ab- gence from home, as Marion enjoys many happy moments in Judith's lux- urious apartment. Contrasting the world of fashion and frivolity with the plain but inviting environment of her own little home, it becomes in- creasingly natural for Marion to be- lieve that wealth alone will furnish the key to her happiness. How she comes to realize the sor- {did side of life, the snobbishness of her friend's associates and that the| lure of Judith's wealth was but a mask of contentment, forms a theme compelling in its interest. Love re deems her in the end. Her husband, successful in his enterprises, hggomes free from the slavery of devotion to his work, and they go forth in perfect understanding to enjoy the ultimate happiness of their wedded life. "Restless Souls" is a beautiful pro- duction. Cork, Feb. 26.--An original sch- €me of government for Ireland, pro- posed by Professor Alfred O'Rahilly, registrar of the University of Cork, is arousing great interest in Ireland. The correspondent has been informed that the plan has been indorsed by many men prominent in the Sinn Fein movement, in which Professor O"Ra- hilly is a recognized leader. Briefly, the scheme calls for an Irish confederation and, according to Professor O'Rahilly, who discussed it at length in an interview with the correspondent, it provides the only solution of the northeast Ulster ques- by | Irish confederation they ought to get tion. Professor O'Rahilly is not opposed to the idea of partition. "Our proper attitude," he said, 'should be to in- sist on more part ition. Ireland should be divided n¥T into two but into 40 regions.
