Alda Hager, a young woman tak- ing part in the performanee given in a motordrome at the fairgrounds, had a miraculous escape from death, on 'Wednesday afternoon. She was travelling at a fast rate of speed near the top, and through some mishap, fell off her bicycle into the pit, and her wheel fell on her. She was rush- ed to the General hospital, as it was feared that she had suffered terrible injuries, but on an examination be- ing made, it was found that no bones had been broken, and that she was merely suffering from shock. o At the General hospital on Thurs- day morning the Whig was informed that the young woman had recovered from her experience, and that she was leaving the institution during the forenoon. James Reid's ambulance was caii- ed to remove the victim of the accid- ent to the hospital. «, Boys' Long Khaki * Good Quality Boys' Braces Big variety Wash Ties Boys' Cotton Jerseys "eee Trousers BAD FIRE AT NORTHBROOK serve his many appreciated custom: Did Serious Damage Early on Wed- | ers in a few days. nesday Morning.
