Notes From Verona. Verona, Aug. 11.--The have finished their grain harvest and are now looking after their marsh hay which is a good crop for this season. Potatoes will be at a prem- lum this year as it will keep the own use. The dry weather has af- fected the pasture lands to such an extent that the milk supply I far below the average for this season of the year. Verona has quite recovered herself from fhe effects of the recent disas- trous fire, and the business blocks and dwellings which have been erect- ed would do credit even to a oity. The tourist traffic hag assumed larger proportions this year than for- mally and many fine cars are seen daily wending their way to the beau- tiful lake district of Centre Fronte- nac, many of which carry American markers, The proprietors of Pine Clift cottage, situated on the lake here, have entertained a large num- ber of visitors this summer. -- a HL DRE So AGENCY FOR ALL OCEAN STEAMSHIPS CP. & T.
