Machine Gun Turned Down as "Inhuman" Paris, Oct, 12.--A controversy as to who first invented machine guns is one of the war's aftermaths in France. The new weapon appeared to be so murderous that the kin, and his min- isters rejected it, and its inventor was held up as an enemy of human- ity. - The powers hostile Yo France tried to secure the invention, but du Per- ron refused for patriotic motives and he died in poverty.
