Rt THE DAILY BRITISH. WHIG. SPORTING RUMMY TO EAPECT CLOSE Fics IN WEEK-END HOCKEY Many Games Booked For Lo- cal Teams--First Appear- ance of R.M.C. ~ A---- Fridey and Saturday of this week are dates looked forward to with in- terest and anticipation by all local hockey fans, After a quiet week the fireworks will start again and keep going until Monday night. There are two Intercollegiate games sche- duled for local teams, two O.H.A. fames and several contests in the city league, Queen's seniors journey to Toron- | to on Friday to meet Varsity, Allan Cup holders, on Saturday afternoon. The Blue and White team is practic- oilly the same as thet which went through all the amateur hockey with fiylng colors last year and has been doing well this year. It seemed un- beatable until Granites stepped on the gas a little and Aura Lee dupli- Cated the stunt in the senior O.H.A. group. How it will look to the in- tercollegiate is a different matter But little is known of McGill and Queen's senior intercollegiate teams is yet in the bud. The players have been working but up till today but few definite selections were made and it was hard to say what sort of an aggregation would be sent to To- ronto. The squad which goes up this evening wil give the Varsity six a good argument--that can be | relied upon, In the O.H.A. Queen's intermedi- ates have a game scheduled here with Brockville on Friday. This is the second visiting intermediate team this year, the last one, Belle- ville, having given the tricolor six a good drubbing for their money.
