Naval Brigade exhibition and balloon ascension were pulled off, everything being postponed until the weather cleared, However, the main building Summed with sctivity throughout the afternoon and evening, and every- cne made the best of the unfavorable conditions, The main attraction' of the even- ing, outside of the exhibits and the Midway was the showing of motion picture films under the auspices of "he Motion Picture Bureau, Treasury Department of the Ontario govern. ment. These flims included such scenic, educational, agricultural and industrial activities, and the per- formance was greatly enjoyed, being valnable as an educational medium. "Among the scenes shown were views of the Chipewa Canal, 'where the Hydro Power is centred; points of In- terest, historic and industrial, around cities; prospecting for gold around the camps of North- ern Ontario; scenes on g dairy farm, showing the process through which our dally milk is obtained and the meny itary and convenien: fnno- gston Avenue--Cement Living rooms, electric light, " floors, hot air fur- ; $35.00 per month. The films are Amusement Company, Toronto, and BE. Graham, Toronto, After the pictures had been shown, EE a a a raat namental work. The mats which were both being fauch admired, With the women's work was the Art exhibit also very much better than last year, for ome at least, of Kingston's well-known artists has some pictures on exhibition and the water colors showing the martello tower at Macdonald Park, the west- ern entrance to Grant Hall, one of the quaint houses on King street west are delightful bits. Several still life studies are much edmired, one of dahlias and several old books, being the favorite with the visitors. The lamps in the vet-craft depart- ment are useful and pretty, and the wooden toys just the thing for child- ren but the beautiful bead work and carving sent last year by the D.S.C. R. is much missed. The domestic science exhibit is an interesting one and shows our Can- adian women's prowess in the mat- ter of jam making, home-made bread, buns, ples, ete. Farmers at the Falr. There was a constant procession of automobiles coming into the city by all roads from the country dis- trict on Wednesday morning. The hibition and some of them left home a8 early as half past six to be able to make a whole day's visit to the exhibits at the Fair Grounds. The grounds took on the appearance of a camp meeting reunion on Wednes- day afternoon so frequent were ths greetings of farmers with heir more or less distant neighbors.
