She was the eldest daug- hter of the late John Carruthers, Kingston. The only member of the Carruthers family surviving is her sister, Mrs. (Major-General) R. W. Rutherford, Kingston. The body of Mrs. Martin will be brought to King- ston for interment in the family plot at Cataraqui cemetery, and will be accompanied by Mr. Martin ana Lieut.-Col. and Mrs. Elkins. Deceas- ed was a woman of splendid attain- ments, kindly, affectionate, hospit- able. She attended St. James' church. REDUCTION IN PRICES, Wholesale Figures Show Drop of 1 18 P.C. from August.
