A CONCERT AND DANCE HELD IN THE ARMORIES ------ By the P.W.0. Regiment on Tuesday Evening--Over 400 Were Present. The Princess of Wales Own Regi- ment held a very enjoyable concert and dance at the Armories on Tues- day evening, with an attendance of members and friends of well over four hundred. The entertainment was very successful, and a great deal of appreciation was expressed by the guests of the regiment. The band concert commenced at 8 o'clock when a number of selec- tions were furnished by the band under the direction of Bandmaster W. Christmas. A feature of this part of the programme was the in- clusion of the chimes, presented to the regiment by Lt.-Col. A. B. Cun- ningham, a former commanding offi- cer, in one of the pieces. The music for the dancing which followed was furnished by the regi- mental string orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Christmas, and the floor of the armories was well crowd- ed with young couples. During thé dance, the officers' mess was open, and a number of the officers and thelr wives received many old friends of the regiment there. The sergeants' mess was also open, where hospitality also reigned supreme. It is the intention of the P.W.O.R. to state a big military entertain- ent at the armories, probably in the early spring, the performance to take the nature of a "tattoo," when a de- monstration of many interesting and spectacular military events; ranging from revellle to tattoo, will be shown. { Rotary Club Activities. : The Kingston Rotary Club will have a big time on Friday night, The club is holding a "Boys' Night," and it promises to be a night that will always be remembered in the his:- ory of Rotary in Kingston. One of the features of the programme will be the Kansas City Boys' film of two reels. The club has invited the principal and one boy from each of the city schools. The boys' work and enter- tainment committee are preparing a special programme.
