Frank C. Moore, for the past year manager of the Hotel Woodruff, Watertown, N.Y., has tendered his resignation to take effect on January 1st next. Mr. Moore will devote his time to the proposed new $800,000 hotel which is to be erected near Al- exandria Bay and of which Me is to become the manager. Mr. Moore has been one of the principal movers in the plan to erect a first class sum- mer hotel in the Thousand Islands. Reckless Auto Driving. The police are out with a big stick after reckless auto drivers. A num- ber of accidents have occurred at sireet corners, and it is stated that careless driving has been the cause of many of the accidents. The work of laying the new track for the Canadian Pacific and National Railway entrance to the city, and the piers for the overhead bridge have been finished by John Donovan, oon- tractor. The steel structure has now to be placed upon the concrete piers and it is being built in sections which will be conveyed to the site and set in position. The span has been made long enough to permit of the addi- tion of two more tracks on the G.T. R. road between the piers, so that the work may be regarded as a perm- anent job. There will be twenty-two feet six inches above the G.T.R. track providing plenty of space above the top of box cars. When the track has been laid on the bridge the C.
