The popularity of the bride and groom is attested by the fact that their friends in' Belleville presented them with a couple of beautiful rocking chairs upholstered in leather, Parking Signs Ignored. Ray Clapp and Mrs. Clapp gave a birthday party for their Ht- tle daughter Catinerine at Hickory Park, Prince Edward county, the old home of Mrs. Clapp. ' Miss Bessie 0. Sraith, an old schoolmate of Mis Clapp, was the guest of honor. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent on the beautiful shore among the hickory trees. Mies Smith gave some thrilling accounts of her three and a half years in Talara, Feru, and described tine different cities and places she had visited while in South America. ------ Cape Church 100 Years Old. The celebration of the centennial af the founding of the Presbyterian church of Cape Vincent was held this week. The Sunday services were most successful, Rev. Arthur F. Meabon, D.D., of the Hamillon Grange Reformed Church, New York, preaching at both services. The morning topic was, "The Church and is Influence in Formation of Character." In they evening he preached on, 'The Church and Brotherhood." Monday afternoon an informal meeting was held, Rev. Lataver passed away at her home in New Dublin on Aug. 18th, She had been in poor health for about a year and for three months had been a patient suffer- er. She was before her marriage, Huena Farks, was born at Glen Elbe fifty-nine years ago, and had lived in Leeds county all her life.
