The steamer Wolfe Igland made a special trip to Amherst Island on Tuesday morning for the purpose of bringing the islanders to the city to do their Christmas shopping. The boat was supposed to go up on Monday morning but on account of the heavy sea which was rolling she was prevented from making the trip. It had been expected that a large number of the islanders would take advantage of the special trip put the purser reported that there /were 'only seventy-six people on the boat. TO BROADCAST HOCKEY. Science Department Is Fitting Apparatus. Tt has been decided that all the hockey games played at the Jock Harty arena this winter will be broad-casted by radio. The Depart- ment of Science at. Queen's Univer sity is busy installing a broad-cast- ing outfit at the arena. During the fall months ali rugby games played at the Richardson stadium were broadcasted and ii, proved such a succass that it was de elded to install an outfit for th hockey games. At the time the details of the rugby gamed were befng sent through the air, the Queen's au- thorities asked people in distant points who heard the reports to send word to the university. Parties in London, Ont., state that the mes- gage could he heard distinctly at that point. The blowing of the whist- le used by the officials was heard.
