Miss Aileen Batstone, Bayside, has left for New York City, accompanied hy her father Rev. J. Batstone. Harry M., the 11-year-old son of Warden Fowlds, Hastings, at pre- sent a pupil in Trinity School, Port Hope, walked from that town to Co- bourg, a distance of seven miles, to | see his father and to .congratulate him upon his election to the warden- ship. It is needless to say that the pleasure of the visit was mutual. The cold weather did not dismay the sturdy little fellow, who evidently in- herited some of the energy of his father. Passed Away at Newburgh. Mrs. Lockwood, relict of the late Robert Lockwood, Newburgh, passed away ob Thursday last. Mrs. Lock- wood was.eighty-two years old and a lifelong resident of Newburgh. Her maiden name was Files. She was a member of a family of eight children, all of who predeceased her except one sister, Mrs. Lakie, Chicago.
