MARY ALDEN STARRING AGAIN IN MOTHER PART Screaming Comedy Preface to Wonderful Picture at Grand Opera-House. We don't know whether Mary Alden is married or not, nor whe- ther, if married, she has any chil- dren, but she can certainly play the role of a mother to perfection. In "A Woman's Woman," now playing at the Grand Opera House, the ele- brated film star gives a wonderful portrayal of her favorite role. The picture is adapted from the story of the same name by Mrs. Nalhra Bart- ley, which made such a big hit in the Saturday Evening Post. Louise Lee and Dorothy Mackail play the parts of the daughters and Holmes Herbert and Albert Hackett play the husband and the son regpectively. The story is a powerful one and teaches a good lesson. There is not a "flivver" In the whole cast. Each player seems to fit the part for which he or she was selected and it works into a harmonious presentation which theatre fans will certainly enjoy. "The Three Must-Get-Theirs," a scréemingly funny burlesque: of Dumas' immortal story, is presented with Max Linder being as foolish as ever, as a prologue to the more seri- ous main picture. The same ppo- gramme will be repeated to-night and Saturday afternoon and night. ---- ese "asa te ses wee - see san Cuban Can. Sugar, com. ... Cuban Can: Suger, ptd. .... Can. Steamship, com. ... ... The vote was 65 to 14. The vote was taken at 11 o'clock after a debate which continu- ed from a little after 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Outstanding among the events of the discussion was the reading by Attroney-General Nickle of a letter from the Minister of Justice at Ot- tawa, declaring his Intention of rec- ommending that the act, if passed, be disallowed, and the reply of the attorney-general, also read to the House, in which the province stated its position to be that the tinal de- termination and decision as to the rights in question BStween the two parties would be fought in the courts. Both the attorney-general and the premier declared that the case would be carried to the privy+ couneil. Although every member of the April 11th, 1.30 pm. Amer.
