The new regulations of the On- tario Medical Council changing the minimum. qualifications for a doc- tor's degree from six years class work to five years in colleges, fol- lowed by a year's interpartnership, do not go into effect till next year and will not affect students already enrolled. It will depend on the 'faculty of each college whether any change at all is made in their courses. The students at present at- tending Queen's medical college are all on gix-year courses, the last of the five year students have gradu- ated this spring. The dcmands of the Dominion. Thomas Burgess, well known in Carleton Place, passed suddenly away at Smith's Falls on Monday. Mr. Burgess had been in poor health for some weeks.
