Minneapolis Lady Drops From Sixth Story of Montreal Hotel. Montreal, July 17.--Mrs.: Agnes Ellis Koon, Minneapolis, fell to her death from the sixth storey of the Ritz-Carlton hotel this morning. Mrs. Koon was on a holiday visit to this city with her husband, following a severe illness from a nerve mai- ady. She suffered from diszy spells. O.P.R. Officials Coming. The Queen's Bowling Club, of Kingston, carried off three of the five contests of the Rockwood tourna- ment, which closed Wednesday night after going a day over schedule time, J. E. Singleton and A. James carried off the honors in the double, while H. 'W. Newman, whose rink took the sec- ondary contest competition, won in- dividual distinction by capturing the first prize in the singles. In the finals of the doubles, Single- ton and James won from H. and J. Angrove, of Kingston, by a score of 12 to 8. The first prizes were smok- ing stands, Four prizes were award- ed. ® In the semi-finals of the singles, Mr. Newman won from A. E. Tread- gold, of Kingston, 16 to 3, and in the finals he defeated W. W. Arnold, of the Vittoria club, Ottawa, 14 to 5. Four prizes were awarded. The Rockwood Club, which a week ago took the Kinnear and d'Esterre Challenge Cup from the Queen's club, lost it to Ottawa Wednesday night by a score of 21 to 13. The defending team was composed of H. Weir, S. Kay, R. 8. Graham and Dr. Kidd, skip. The winners were F, Ashfield, G. McK. Nichols, Dr. Craig and R. Shaw, skip. cess.
