Tons of elephants--a batallion of clowns--hordes of horses, riders, performers from every clime--polar pears--Ilions, tigers and other ingre- dlents that go to make up a real cir- cus--train loads of them--came to town Thursday morning for two performances of the Sparks Circus at the fair grounds. The cheese factory, situated at the ex- treme foot of the Island, was burn- ed to the ground on Satunday last. The cheese had been shipped a twenty-six, which were destroyed. It is stated that the fire originated from ashes cleaned from the boiler. The building and cheese, was covered by insurance. .
