New York, Sept. 4.--You might as well know the worst, girls. The prince may be for you, but the stars are against you. It might have been different had Venus been wandering somewhere between Oshkosh and Schenectady, U.S.A, on that particular night. But it eo happens that when the doctor smiled at George Witten, otherwise known as King George, ALL HOPE -ABANDONED | No Word Rébeived About the Two Missing Oswego, N.Y.; Men. Information received from Oswe- go, N.Y. states that mo w~ rd had been received from David Tugwell and Harry Sheldon, who left there in their yacht for Amherst Island two weeks ago last Friday, and all hope for their safety has been aban- doned. Mr. Sheldon's father, Wililam L. Sheldon, left Oswego, Monday, in a motor launch accompanied by a skilled yachtsman, whe claimed to have seen a boat two weeks ago last Sunday near Chaumont, and evident- and said, "It's a boy!" the fickle planet that watches over romance was glowing -softly down on a cer- tain part of Scotland. And that settles it! You may dance with the prince and catch a flirtatious note in his eye, but when the heir to Britain's throne slips the gold band ring on MISS BELLE BART Prominent young astrologist, shown drawing up horoscopic chart of prince. a a tis irra the wedding finger, the party of the second part will be a Scottish maid- en--probably ons of those pretty Buccleuch gals. And this will happen about 1923 --four long years--when the planets will be talking with a broad Scotch burr, but the prince will hear these sweet nothings de- spite the Harry Lauder accent and will "tumble far worse than ever he did from a horse. All this is prognosticated by Miss Belle Bart, director of the Ameri. can Academy of Astrology, who has been watching the heavens closely in the interest of the glorified Am- erican girl who thinks she can cop off the visiting peer. Miss Bart has charted the skies to read the future of the Prince of Wales. Some things, she says, may not now be told because they have too personal and important a bear- ing. But of major importance, both to the prince and to future history, is the prognostication that the Prince of Wales may ascend the throne of England in 1925. Miss Bart does not, predict the death of the present king, but says the prince will be plunged into some sort of trouble early next spring, and then will begin a turn of events that may enable him to assume the British throne if he so desires. The exact horoscopic vernacular is this: "Astrological indications do not hold hope for any American girl as consort for the Prince of Wales. "His horoscope, due to the posi- tion of Venus, does not indicate marriage for four year. Since Venus, which is the planet of love, was in the sign governing Scotland at the time of hig birth, the indications are that in 1928 he will-marry a lady of Scotch origin. "A very interesting planetary position should make itself felt in the spring of 1925, when Mars, the planet of activity, will form an op- position to Saturn, planet of losses and depressions, » progressed moon also wil be in conjunction with Mars, indi- cating a liability to physical danger; older men in the family. But the moon and Mars hold a friendly as- pect to. Jupiter in 1925 and thus place the prince in the position of ly In distress, He said that there was a heavy sea rolling at the time, and he had all he could do to mas- ter his own boat. Mr. She'don was equipped with a pair of powerful marine glasses with which he was to sweep the shore looking for the wreckage. POLICE COURT SESSION SHORT AND SNAPPY A Prisoner Walked in, Turned Around and Walked Out Again. One of the shortest sessions on record of the Kingston police court was held on Thursday morning. The session lasted two seconds, or just time enough for Magistrate Farrell to say "Ten dellars and costs." His remarks were addressed to a young man remanded on Wednesday, on a charge of being intoxicated. The young fellow stated he had been drinking Igvalid- port wine and ex- tract of lemon, nixed. With the prisoner it was the case of the old song, "He walked right in and turn- ed around and walked right out again," for the magistrate had giv- en his case consideration as a result of the remand and had the sentence waiting for him."Inside of five min- utes the tippler had paid his fine and was given Mis liberty. Mangan-Hunt Wedding. The marriage of Miss Lyona Hunt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. K. Hunt of Toronto, formerly of Winnipeg, to Mr. Joseph P. Man- gan, barrister, of Oshawa, son - of tire late Mr. M. Mangan and Mrs. Mangan of Kingston, took place at half-past ten o'clock on Saturday, Aug. 30th, at St. Anthony's chursh, Montreal, Monsignor Donnelly of- ficiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, was lovely: in her French gown of rose: beige georgette and lace, and hat of brown velvet, with heron ospreys, and she carried a bouquet of lily of the valley and butterfly roses. Mrs. Mangan, Kingston, the groom's mother, was in a costume of black crepe Elizabeth, with hat to match, and his sister, Miss Mary Frances Mangan, wore Empire blue crepe romaine, heavily beaded, and a gold lace hat. Following the ceremony al reception was held at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. BE. J. Hunt, Rockland avenue. Later, Mr. and Mrs, Mangan left for a trip up the Saguenay and to Mur- ray Bay, the bride wearing a sports suit of log cabin brown, brown hat and stone marten fur. On their re- turn they will reside in Oshawa. Tom Owen, a sailor on the White Star liner Arabic, was washed overboard then hurled back on deck by the same wave when the big Mner struck a hur- ricane in the North Atlantic.
