A charming wedding took place on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day at the home of Mrs. Philip Munro, Apple Hill, when her daughter, Cora, was united in marriage to John D. Dobbs, organist and choir director of Chalmers church, gave the congregation a great treat on Sunday morning when she had as special soloist Mrs. Herbert Wood, of Vancouver, B.C., better known in Kingston as Mona Knight, daughter of Dr. and Mrs, A. P. Knight, of this city. Mrs. Wood rendered two solos with great sweetness and effective- ness--' 'Rebuke Me Not" by Marzo and "Come Unto Me" from Handel's Messiah. Her voice, which once was a lyric soprano, has developed into dramatic soprano, although she can still take lyric roles She was heard with great pleasure by the congre- gation which numbered many friends of bygone years.
