SMASHING WINDOWS IN POULTRY BUILDING Civic Property Committee Will Endeavor to @ive Property Better Protection. At a meeting of the civic property committee held on Monday after. noon, it was reported that several of the windows in the poultry build- ing at the fair grounds had been smashed, and it is believed to have been the work of 'boys. It is estimated that the city has to pay- about $60 every year for replacing glass smashed in windows at the fair grounds. Ald. Price suggested that the city purchase shutters for all the win- dows as a means of protection. "There are many windows that could be boarded up," he stated. Chalrman McCartney stated that he had paid a visit to the fair grounds, and had witnessed the damage. Hvery year the buildings suffered a serious damage and as a result, was becoming quite serious.
