A meeting of the City Hockey League was held in the Standard building on Wednesday evening with President C. E. Taylor in the chair. There was a large attendance. Two mote teams were entered, bringing to list now as follows: Circle-8ix, Live Wires, Granites, Irishmen, R.C.A. and Raglopolis Club, All téams made proper entry ! and paid their fees. R. J. Boyce en- teed for Regiopolis and Sergt. Mal- lon fer RC.A. { Roy Ludlow consented to act as | secretary pro. tem. | It was decided that no Queen's students may play on any teams in the City Hockey League. This is for the putpose of avoiding the troub- tes which always arize when Queen's mén participate. If they show im- provement they are desired by their college teams and then the trouble starts. The pew rule solves the dif- fieulty and the studnts do not suf- for as they have plenty of inter-year, inter-faculty and higher grade hockey. Queen's A. B. of C. will be notified of this rule. It was alsp decided league players may come and 3 at will on the new amalgamated ih- termediate O.H.A., team, providing they stick to their own team In the City League. The delegates to the joint confer- ence at Queen's on Monday made their report. . 1t was the unanimous opinion that thé league should ald the new team in avery way. The matter of a secretary-treas- urér was taken up. E. J. (Ned) Hartrick has finally decided not to take office. Harry Law was flhally chosen as the mew official. J. . 8. McDonell, secretary of Queen's Athletic Board, addressed the meeting pointing out the need for co-operation and thanking the City League for its offer of sup- port. He announced that the Jock, Harty Arena would be available all next week, free of charge, for City League team for practise. Hours are announced elsewhere. Coach Hugh. es, the new Director of Athletics, was in Montheal and could not at- tend. > A vote 'of thanks was passed to Queen's for the fipe epirit being shown in regard to boosting hoe- key.
