In his graduate studies he has done work that has aftracted considerable attention." He was charged with threatening of arson and suleide. THE DAILY BRITISH WHIG NAPANEE REGIMENT PARADES T0 CHURCH Wreath Placed on the Soldiers' | Monument--Death , of Léwis F. Bogart. Napamee, May 18.--The Frontenac Regiment paraded to the church of St. Mary Magdalene yesterday morn- ing and the church was filled to overflowing. The service was a bright and hearty one and was con- ducted by the vicar, Rural Dean J. | H. H. Coleman, M.A., and the ser- mon was preached by Canon J. W. Jones, of Kingston, regimental chaplain. After the church service the parade was re-formed and head- ed by the Kiltie's Band of Belleville, with eight pipers, proceeded down Robinson street to Dundas street and thence to the soldiers' monu- ment In front of the court house, where x handsome wreath was plac- ed on the base, the band playing "The Lament." Prayer. was made by Chaplain Canon Jones. The "Last Post" was sounded by the bugler. The parade then returned to the armories and was disbanded. The people of Napanee are pretty proud of their "soldier laddies" and of the fine soldierly appearance they made on parade. Napanee is mourning the loss of a good eitizen In the person of Lewis Ferdinand Bogart, who died at an early hour on Friday morning, 15th instant, a victim of pneumonia. The deceased was a brother of the late Frank Bogart.and a nephew of Mar- shall \C. Bogart,' of Napanee. The deceased was in his place in church a week ago yesterday, took ill on Monday and died aftetr four days' sickness. The funeral takes place this afternoon at 3 p.m. from his late home, corner of Bridge and Richard streets, where religious ser vices will be held. Mrs. J. M. NIP PLOT TO MURDER THE JUGO-SLAV KING Oonspirators Also Planned to Dynamite the Royal Palace in Belgrade. London, May 18.--Police discov- ery of a communist plot aimed chief- ly at assassination of King Alexander of Jugo-Slavia and members of the cabinet, as well as dynamiting of the royal palace, is announced. at Bel- grade, according to a Central News dispatch. Seventeen bolsheviks, continues the dispatch, arrived recently to carry out the plot and several of them were captured as they ponder- ed over their plans and maps. Special police precautionary meas- ures have been taken to frustrate fruition of the plot. Another Belgrade message sald that twenty-five alleged red plotters had been apprehended, and that their plans comprehended dynamit- ing public buildings as well as "as- sassination of politicians."
