Murdock Johnston, the vice-president, will be in the chair. Death of Clarence Lloyd. '- At the Weston Hospital Toronto, Clarence Lloyd, son of the late W. A. Lloyd, -Belleville, passed away Mon- day. Deceased was twenty-three Gerald Percival, Glen Buell. Thurlow's School Fair. At the Prince of Wales public school, Thurlow township, the an- nual school fair was held Wednes- day attracting a large number of spectators. The display of fruits, vegetables and in fact every kind of exhibit for which prizes were do- nated, exceeded other offerings of preceding seasons, Children Get Holiday. The school children of the city were given their holiday to attend the fair Friday afternoon. Many, on waking up in the morning and find- ing it raining, made gloomy predic- tions, but the sunshine later made the kiddies happier. ; Tourist Trafic Decreasing. The tourist trafic ™ through the city is steadily decreasing as the weather is becoming cool and the nights long, making it unpleasant for dfiving. It is stated that there have been more tourists passed through Kingston this season than any other year. Building New Church. The laying of the corner-stone of the new United Church at Morewood is expected to take place towards the close of the present month, rapid progress being made upon construc- tion. Rev. Dr. George C. After a valiant fight of more than two years during which he had been confined to the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, N.Y., with a broken back, George Randall, Glen Park died on Sept, 11th. Randall met his injury Aug. 23rd, 1923, when he was buried in a cave-in at the M. G. Fitzgerald farm, Cape Vincent, N.Y. Mr. Randall was born in Kingston, Ont., Oct. 19th, 1905; son of the-late Herbert and Elsie Randall and moved with his parents te Watertown, N.Y. He lived with his parents until their death in Jan- uary, 1919 during the influenza epi- demic which swept qver the gity at that time. > District Scoutmaster.
