Death of An Infant. The death of Leo Patrick, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Gavin, oc- curred on Thursday. The funeral | took place on Friday from the resi- dence of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. A Divine healing service was held at the Pentecostal Tabernacle, Quaen street, Thursday night, when a mes- sage was given showing that sal- vation and healing go together. There were several testimbnies by those whom the Lord had healed and four more people went forward to be annointed and prayed for, for healing. S-- Snow Slide Cansed Runaway. Neil McGeachy, Johnston's Corn- ers, was lodding feed at the Tweed mill when snow sliding off the roof of 'the elavator startled his team and they ran away. Mr. McGeachy was thrown off the wagon and sus- tained a broken arm. The team dash- ed into a telegraph pole and broke it off, and getting free from the wagon it was some time before they «| Were captured. After his injuries had been attended to Mr. McGeachy was able to return to his home. -- Pined Under Fish and Game Act. Under the provisions of the Fish and Gama Act, on information laid by Inspector Baker, Magistrate J. Albert Page, Brot¢kville, imposed a fine of $240 and costs of $5.10 on Max Levison, Delta, who not hav- ing a trader's license, was charged «| vith 'having twelve skunk skins in his possession illegally. The defend- ant, who did not appear, had prev- fously forwarded a' written plea of guilty. The minimum fine of $20 per skin was accordingly imposed. Mothers' Council of Y.M.C.A. The Mothers' Council of the Boys' Division of the ¥.M.C.A. met last evening. It was decided: to apply one hundred dollars to the furnace fund and also decided to hold a newspaper drive during Januafy, and to put on a tea and sale in ald of the Y.M.C.A. financial drive to be held in January. Reports were read in which the Y.M.C.A. was praised for its work for the boys of the community.
