Victor Spencer, of Japan, Gave Addresses. Rev. Vietor Spencer, a missionary [from Japan, was the preacher at St. Luke's church on Sunday evening. Rav. Mr. Spencer.had a very inter- esting and inspiring message for his hearers regarding conditions in the East, and particularly in Japan. Japan was a very progressive coun- try, he said, and compared very fav- orably with western civilization. Ad- miration in that country for England was almost unbounded, declared Mr. Spencer. In the 'morning, Rev. Mr. Spencer delivered a very inspiring sermon on the work of the Anglican missions in Japan, in St. James' church. Rev.
