Wellington, April 8.-----Building operations at the mew brick plant in Wellington are rapidly nearing com- pletion. The machinery is being placed. The two large boilers are being bricked in with bricks manu- factured at the Westlake plant, which were reserved for that pur- pose. The sand conveyor from the beach across the channel is almost complete. At the beach end of the conveyor, a sand pump will be used from a scow. : T The management hope to have the plant' in cperation early in Mady with a msximum output of 44,000 bricks per ten hour day. Every care is being taken to make this one of the most up-to-date brick plants on this continent. The services at the United Church on Easter snd Good Friday were en- joyed. "The Message of the Cross," was given at the Good Friday ser- vice, in a sermon by the pastor, and in appropriate music by the choir. Messrs. Dayton Murphy and Gilas Ingram have each received a @old locket from Mr. Lamb. The lockets are engraved, and following the name, it states "for heroism in sav- fag life, 28th February, 1926." It will be remembered that on Sunday Feb. 28th, George Deering was re- scued by Dayton Murphy -and Gilas Ingram. Freeman Cronk is still in a weak condition ard confined to his bed. City, March 24th, of Harton Brewer Ward, fourth 'son of the late'Jonathan P, and Margaret Ward of Kingston, Ont. Mr! Ward is survived by two sons and a daughter, Paul of Mont- clair, N.J.; Norman of Pittsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Edwin Thompson of Portland, Oregon, also two brothers and two sisters.
