A case in which a young man was charged with stealing a quantity of rope in August, 1923, came before Magistrate Farrell on Saturday morn ing, but after hearing the evidence, the magistrate dismissed the case. Her sister, Lucy, be- came the bride of James Polley, Brockville, earlier in the day. Had a Bad Collision. An auto accident took place om Wednesday night near Alexandria Bay. Two cars collided, one hittiag the other just back of the fron: left wheel and hurled it into the ditch turning it over three times and completely demolishing fit. The front of the other was badly wreck- ed but was not turned over. All of the seven young men. in the cars were cut and shaken, one, John La- Favire, having a rib fractured. One of the drivers claimed that the other car was in the middle of the road and would not get over, causing the collision. Birthday of Mrs. Eliza A. Simmons, To be ninety-three years old and still retain the complete use of all her faculties, as well as being hale, hearty and active, is a happy lot of Mrs. Eliza A. Simmons, mother of George N. Simmons, Belleville. Mrs. Simmons was born one mile north of Frankford, June 3rd, 1833, her-maiden name being Elza A. Harris. With the exception of the first five years' after her marriage spent at Camden East, Mrs. Sim- mons resided at Frankford until she moved to Belleville to make her home with her son. The Thousand Islands Club Dances. The Thousand Islands Yacht Club has a long and interesting social programme for the season. The of- ficers for the ensuing season are: W.
