Wyllie, inspector of the Children's Aid Society. He ex- plained the purpose ;of the Society and something of its manner of work. He also explained how the socie- ties of Kingston and Frontenac county are seriously hampered in their beneficient work through lack of adequate accommodation. There is good reason to believe that the lives of two or three neglecte in- fants could have he¥n saved during the past year had there been a place provided where they could have re- ceived proper care. The lecture was given under the auspices of the Young People's So- ciety. Four Men "Enlisted Monday. Four men were signed up Monday at the Princess street recruitng de- pot. They were John H.
