William Savage, of the 21st Battalion, was killed in action on September 15th, according to a let- ter which his wife, now in Edin- burgh wrote to Mrs. Lamb, Arch street. Mrs. Savage said she had been informed of her husband's death by an officer, but no details were given. Before enlisting Sergt. Savage had been working at Por- ritt's garage, having previously been employed at the locomotive works. He is survived by a wife and two children. Sergt. Savage was an Englishman, and was about thirty- eight years of age. Lieut. Gwillim Recovers. Lieut, Frank Gwillim, brother of Prof. J. C. Gwillim, has been dis- charged from the hospital at the™To- quet Hospital and is sailing for Eng- land, according to a telegram receiv- ed _by Kingston relatives. Lieut. Gwillim, who enlisted with the 29th Battalion at Vancouver, was wound- ed on Sept. 26th, and lay for twenty hours in a quarry before receiving medical attention. Pte. W. H. Roleau Missing. Pte. W. H.
