BIG STORM IS ON; VESSELS IN SHELTER One of the Worst Gales This Season Hit Kingston on Friday. One of the worst gales this fall is raging on 'the lake, and as a result vessels have been seeking shelter at various ports. In the harbor the waves ran very high, and the water vessels came into the harbor for shelter, but up till 2 o'clock no dam- age had been reported. Around the city the wind storm *was very severe. Many citizens chased after their hats, or had their friends chase for them, and alto- gether the day was a most disagree: able one. Farmers coming into the city stated that the wind was so strong that it was very hard for the horses to keep their feet.
