particular account of the nature and plan of this important and neceflary inftitution in the mean time we are defired to intimate that mr gil- hrift will immediately commence a cor- refpondence with the emigrant societies n quebec and king lion and with fuch of he landholders clergy and other gen tlemen in upper canada as are bed qualified to furnifh information cr in any way to promote the important objeft of the inftitution which is to aflift the emi grants to proceed to their lands or to jirett them to the moft eligible fettlements tobacco from the east indies an aft was parted in the
