Barely five minttes had elasped after the commencenient of the game at Kenora when Dryden. scored their goal. The play was brilliant on both sides, some very good foot ball was noticed during the game. Kenora scored during the second half of the play, thereby the matche ended Ke- nora I, Dryden I. The second day there is little doubt that Dryden team was tired from their game the previous day, although two goals were scored by them from the left wing within five minutes of each other--unfortunately these goals were offside. Keewatin was feeling fresh and played a good game, send- ing three goals down to their credit. Dyrden goal-kéeper is to beadmired for his good play at Kenora, but there is no doubt that he was tired out on Saturday. Results--Keewatin 3 Dry- den 2 O-Spectnfor. Shower On Tuesday evening last week, Miss Effie Jones was the guest at a shower given in her honour by Mrs Hugh] Bartlett and Mrs J. S. Wilson, at the home of the former. Catharine Bart- lett and Marilyn Wilson, as Cupids, drew in a flowered chariot laden with the guests' expressions of affection to Miss Jones. Roses were everywhere. Rose and white was the dominant colour note of the evening, and Mrs Hartnett and Mrs McFadyen presided over a charmingly decorated tea-table.
