The comedy play "Welcome Home Jimmy" was well chosen and the characters portrayed excellently. As Mrs Brooks, the blind mother of the way-ward son Jimmy, Mrs J. very difficult part well. James Duncan as Valentine Gardiner, the lawyer who roscd as Jimmy, before his relatives was a nerfect hero, while the acting of G. Tarling, who portrayed the English Chesterfield MeSwoop, was nothing chort of professional perfection. Mr Tarling was great. Mrs W. Dunc- an mad: a most att active dought- er of Mra Brooks, who completely captured Ches. The parts of Al'ee Thomas and Peggy Sommers were well done by Misses D. Schurg and Wdna Davies, and Mrs J. Ethering- ton, as Melinda the old maid, was all that eould be desired. As Danny Banks, the comical farm hand, H. Colley was a scream, and F. Cunningham, whe took tite part of the hard-hearted farm agent was very good. DEATH OF BABY FIELDER-- - ..Mr P. Fielder was called to Sud- bury last week on account of the illness of his infant son, who was visiting there with Mrs. Fielder.
