More than 200 delegates and visitors attended the banquet in the main | dining-room of the hotel, where four long tables, decorated with marigolds, were required. The toast to our guests was proposed hv Mrs. Jno. Cooper. Mrs. Gilbert ex- tended a vote of thanks to the Port Arthur. and Fort William members for hospitality. The convention came to a close with the singing of Auld Tang Syne and the national anther. Mrs. M. O. Robinson acted as ac- companist for the community singing. * * = RESOLUTIONS. At the final session of the women's with Mrs. W. presiding, S.. Gilbert, Rainy River, the followi ing resolutions were Ant ed: North Shore Algoma presented the resolution that the W.I. of Ontario give their support to the sterilization of the mentally unfit by the govern- ment. The resolution sent from - West Lambton petitioned the federal gov- ernment of Canada, to take over, as a state enterprise, the manufacture and distribtion of. all munitions and implements of war and place under the department of national defence.
