The bar was opened fen minute after starting. Mrs Pitt and myself have a splendid reservation, I was a little uncertain how Mrs Pitt would take the splendid appoint- | ments of the boat, but so far she has' only said "Gosh!" 1 am not showing her this letter to vou, for fear of complications. Would you be kind enough to men- tion to Bert Berrey, Art Payne, Bll Davies or M, S. Campbell that the trunk arrived safely, thanks to their solicitude. We have made an important dis- covery, that in travelling two things} are necessary, gall and money. Mis Pitt has the money. We had a lovely surprise at our first meal, this was a beautiful bouquet of roses on our table. We have fire and boat drill, and have been advised in case of drowning not to swallow any water, Many years of experience on Lake Wabigoon,- with its stormy | wn thing. . I don't like the list of this boat when toc many of us crowd to one side, but have been brave enough not to notice this so far, at least not tc let others know that I notice it, It is very delightful to get away from business worries. At the same tine it might be worth while to make mention that I left instructions to sell things just a little cheaper than usual if that is possible, while I am away. I am too modest to make much of this, but it ought to help some. Several people have been form'ng themselves into bridge parties, but so! far I have not come across anything that looks like our Dryden class, at least not our top-notch class Just in a friendly way, I think Dec.
